First UM-LIC United Nations Day Celebration

With the theme “The United Nations: Solutions for a Prosperous World”, the UM-LIC organized its First UM-LIC United Nations Day Celebration on October 8-9, 2012 at the University Library’s UN/ADB Section.

The event was made possible because of its working committee composed of UM-LIC Librarians headed by Prof. Virginia Caintic and with the cooperation of the BLIS students.

The first part of the event was the mass celebration and the blessing of the new LIC followed by the Library Forum with its theme “The Importance of UN Publications and other Research Outputs in the Global Context: UM Experience”.

Other activities were also conducted such as Poster Making Contest, UN Publications Exhibit, Showcasing of UN Costumes and Trivia Contest.
